Why I Chose To Blog
Well now, there’s a big question in itself, don’t you think? I sort of raised the question in my ‘about’ page, but as that’s just a standard page they set up under WordPress, I just added some text into that.
You may be asking yourself why a web designer would be using a pre-made template on a pre-constructed platform at all. Let alone to blog. And you would be right to ask those kinds of questions.
Putting it simply, I don’t have time to program something someone has done before me. It’s not efficient, it’s not effective and I’ve been up and running in under an hour.
WordPress is in fact a major competitor. My worry is not about large website design companies taking potential business – ours is too new to worry too much about that. Our main competitors are those that can get a blog site up and running in no time, add pages, add pictures, add a blog and no fee thank-you-very-much.
However, such things are not the death of the smaller web design company. No sir. I will be investigating WordPress Design shortly and braching out our design functionality, further expanding our CMS options and thereby giving our clients a unique site they can easily manage.
As for blogging, well I’m not just jumping on a band-wagon – that wagon started its journey a long time ago. I just feel that, as I go through life there are things to share – whether on website design, accountancy, the Christian walk or personal experiences. I don’t keep things to myself very often, unless they’re private.
The Internet is not really the place to bare your soul, but I will be writing (hopefully) on relevant topics that may be of some assistance to others. And that’s what blogging should be about methinks.

This is a fantastic article. I’m a college student trying to learn more about the HTML industry and I really enjoyed your post. It’s absolutely worth sharing!

Thanks for the positive feedback. My aim is to produce an article or snippet at least every week so do feel free to share with anyone you think would benefit – and even suggest topics for us to write about too
